Cara is a Political Science student at the University of Manitoba and hopes to pursue further studies in the Bachelor of Social Work program. She is interested in working with social policies to help those who face systemic barriers. Cara appreciates the opportunity this role gives her to contribute to research work focused on amplifying marginalized voices. Alongside her studies and work, Cara volunteers in her church youth, children’s, and worship ministries, as well as for other non-profit organizations. Cara was born and raised in the Philippines, makes art, and does freelance illustration.
